About the Booklet
This booklet was published on the occasion of the exhibition “Jörg Immendorff: For all Beloved in the World.”
I entered the paintings of the artist Immendorff.
I moved within the images until,
on the paper, I became the painter.
I disappeared, and Immendorff emerged.
This is an act of appropriation: I, Immendorff,
bear witness to the everyday and to sensations.
One might take the book as a poem in 100 parts.
One might read it as 100 selected illusions.
I, Immendorff, have been a painting German partisan.
I live on in the colours and in the words.
