Information

Astrophysics and art collaborate on dark matter and neutrinos: In an interdisciplinary project, astrophysicists from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) are working together with artists from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (AdBK) and the Haus der Kunst in Munich.

Elisa Resconi, Professor of Experimental Physics with Cosmic Radiation at TUM and spokesperson for SFB1258, photography and video artist Armin Linke, Professor of Photography at AdBK since 2024, and Andrea Lissoni, Artistic Director of the Haus der Kunst, are leading the collaboration. The artistic engagement with scientific research gains another diverse and open forum for discourse and a collaboration for presenting results through the cooperation of the two partner institutions with the Haus der Kunst.

Andrea Lissoni: ‘The project brings together cutting-edge scientific research and new generations of artists. It offers wonderful opportunities to explore new forms of exchange, education and engagement. Cooperation with forward-looking institutions that share our goals and values is a fundamental vision of Haus der Kunst. We are delighted to accompany TUM and AdBK on this exciting journey.’
