We are pleased to welcome you to our exhibitions. Haus der Kunst has developed comprehensive protective and hygiene measures to make your visit as pleasant but also as safe as possible. In coordination with the responsible authorities, Haus der Kunst has developed comprehensive protection and hygiene measures to make your visit as pleasant but also as safe as possible. They help to contain the coronavirus and are intended to protect you and our staff from infection. For the benefit of all, please only visit the Haus der Kunst if you feel healthy. If you feel ill or have had contact with a Covid-19 patient in the last few days, please refrain from visiting. In the building there is a mask obligation and a minimum distance of 2 meters. Please avoid forming groups with people, who are not familiar to you and pay attention to the instructions of our staff regarding the maximum number of people allowed in each room as well as to the new guidance system. We hope you will understand if our staff also draws your attention to these rules. Please make regular use of the disinfectant provided. The entrance and exit to Haus der Kunst have been separated to avoid congestion.

You can purchase admission tickets with a time slot via our website. This makes it easier for us to control the total number of visitors allowed in the building.

We hope you enjoy the exhibitions and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This also includes protection by wearing a mask. If you do not have a mask with you, you can purchase a disposable mask at the museum's box office.

Haus der Kunst is currently offering a reduced day ticket. Regular 10 € / reduced 8 € / 5 € for teenagers under 18 and students / children under the age of 12 continue to have free admission.

Our Free First Thursday can take place again from 02 July. Admission from 6 pm is on site, online tickets can not be booked in advance. Please understand that there may be longer waiting times at the entrance.

As always, your annual card gives you free admission to all exhibitions in Haus der Kunst. Annual card holders can also get a free ticket online, for which a ticket fee of € 1.20 per ticket applies.

All annual cards that are valid until 11 May 2020 or later remain valid for two months longer. The tickets do not have to be exchanged.

Annual cards that expired during the closing time (13 March 2020 to 10 May 2020) remain valid until 13 June 2020.

New annual cards that are only issued after the reopening are valid for one year from the date of the exhibition or the date of request.

In order to make the exhibitions longer accessible to you after the temporary closure, we have extended the duration of all current exhibitions.

„Franz Erhard Walther. Shifting Perspectives“ extended until 29 November 2020.

„Kapsel 11: Sung Tieu“ and „Kapsel 12: Monira Al Qadiri“ extended until 30 August 2020.

„Theaster Gates: Black Chapel“ extended until 16 August 2020.

„Brainwashed. Sammlung Goetz im Haus der Kunst“ extended until 20 September 2020.

As usual, the Haus der Kunst is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, Thursdays from 10 am to 10 pm. Sammlung Goetz in Haus der Kunst is always open Thursdays to Sundays.

We look forward to welcome you again in small groups for public or private tours. The maximum number of participants is 9 persons. If you wish to take part in the tour, please leave your contact details and adhere to our hygiene regulations.

Current dates can be found in the calendar. You can book private guided tours on your desired date online using our group form.

With our extensive digital offers, you have possibility to prepare for the exhibitions or to deepen the impressions after the visit. You can find an overview of our digitial offers here.

As an education offer we provide you with our audio guides. You can use your own headphones for this purpose or purchase a low-priced headphone at our museum box office. If you have any concerns about hygiene when using the audio guide, you can also useour digital audio tour on your own mobile in the exhibition. You can find the audio tours here.

The Golden Bar offers drinks and snacks to take away on the terrace when the weather is good. Current information will be published here and on the Golden Bar's Facebook page.

The Walther König bookshop is also open again since 11 May 2020, daily from 12 am to 6 pm. The exhibition catalogue for "Franz Erhard Walther. Shifting Perspectives" is now available.
