About Raphael Sbrzesny
Raphael Sbrzesny studied

Paris, experimental musical theater and composition in Bern, and

in Stuttgart (2008–2014) and Munich (2013–2014). Between
2014 and 2016 he took part in the postgraduate program
at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kunste with Felix Ensslin in

imaginaire that
marks spaces of opportunity for an artistic production beyond a
constant updating of existing orders within the artistic apparatus.

sculpture, and has been awarded various prizes and scholarships
including a residency at the Bundesatelier at the Cite Internationale
des Arts Paris and the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff scholarship for visual
arts.
Sbrzesny has organized performances, screenings, and solo exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (2015), Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin (2015), Heidelberger Kunstverein (2016), Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden (2015), ZKM Karlsruhe (2017), and KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin (2013). Raphael Sbrzesny is currently a fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart.
