Info

P1 is one of the few clubs, if not the only nightspot, that lives next door to an art exhibition house. On the occasion of its 40th anniversary – P1 was opened in its current form in 1984 – Haus der Kunst now dedicates an exhibition to the club in the Archiv Galerie.

Sabine Brantl, head of the archive at Haus der Kunst and curator of the exhibition, will take you on a journey through the history of Munich's most famous disco. Established in 1950 as a “studio restaurant” and venue for the Munich art scene in the east wing of Haus der Kunst, P1 has developed into one of the most desirable locations in the club landscape in Germany Meeting point for prominent guests.

During the tour, you will not only get to know the exhibition and its concept, but also documents and sources that can be viewed in the archive of Haus der Kunst.

Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

We recommend purchasing the guided tour ticket online in advance.
