Event overview

Heidi Bucher's works fascinate because of their special material. Her latex skins appear organic, almost alive. They are reminiscent of human skin, on whose surface experiences, relationships, and emotions are inscribed.

In previous tours, many of our guests had material-specific questions. Why does latex change over time? How quickly does it dry? How exactly does skinning with latex work? And how are Heidi Bucher's works cared for, transported, or stored? We would like to approach these and other questions in a special guided tour together with our conservator Andrea von Hedenström. Andrea has been accompanying the exhibition from the beginning and takes care of all conservation and restoration issues. For the guided tour she has made new tactile objects out of latex in the style of Heidi Bucher, which we would like to present to you.

Meeting point is at 2:45 p.m. at the ticket desk in Haus der Kunst.
