Info

As part of the International Weeks Against Racism, Haus der Kunst invites you to Haus Cooking – inspired by Shu Lea Cheang’s exhibition KI$$ KI$$ and created in collaboration with Naa Ayekai Squire, Esen Akmese, and young participants from Mikado- Jugendkultur und Bildung München.

At the heart of the event is the installation Home Delivery, which releases the scents of home-cooked meals. These scents are based on recipes shared by the young people of Mikado, offering a reflection on the meaning of food – how we consume it and how we pass it on.

During a communal cooking evening, ten young participants will have the chance to help prepare one of these dishes under the guidance of Mikado München’s young members. The scent of the dish will be present in the exhibition space, and afterward, the group will share the meal in the museum. Cooking and dining together create a space for exchange, where cultural traditions, experiences, and perspectives come together.

Participation in the Haus Cooking includes entry to Shu Lea Cheang’s exhibition.

Tickets

A second Haus Cooking event will take place on 1.5.25 as part of MMMHaus – Meet Make Move.
