Info
The live exhibition “ECHOES. Plot Twist” explores the intersections of the digital and the body, seeking new ways to connect, communicate, and create meaning in a digitalised world. Over four days of music, conversations, and performances, “Plot Twist” delves into the dynamics of human and non-human communication.
Thursday, 30.1.25
7 pm | Hanne Lippard. Performance
We kick off “ECHOES. Plot Twist” with a performance by Hanne Lippard, whose text- and time-based works are inspired by literature, pop culture, and bureaucratic language. Through rhythm and wordplay, her performative works reflect everyday life while highlighting the importance of listening and coming together. ECHOES also marks the inauguration of Lippard’s installation for the TUNE terrace hall commission, created in collaboration with Laurel Halo, who will perform a DJ Set on Friday, 31.1.25.
8 pm | Layton Lachman. Dance
Layton Lachman’s In the Shadow of Forward Motion is a dance of enigmatic transformations. Accompanied by live sound and light, the performers express themselves through body language and uncanny voices, asking: “What happens when you become intimate with the stranger of your own body?”
The performance by Layton Lachman is a new commission in cooperation by Haus der Kunst München and the Goethe-Institut London.
9.15 pm | Lucy Liyou. Concert
Closing the night, Lucy Liyou presents their signature sonic narratives, synthesizing field recordings, text-to-speech, and elements from Korean folk opera. Though their music reflects the work of genres such as post-industrial and musique-concrète, Liyou is influenced by audiobooks as well as music from the Impressionist period and Neoclassical period.
Tickets will be available soon.
