Event overview

An evening for kids aged 6-13 and their families and friends!

At the Atelier Night at Haus der Kunst, you and your families and friends can discover and explore contemporary art from three continents. An exciting program of guided tours and workshops devoted to our current exhibitions on El Anatsui, Raphaela Vogel and Khvay Samnang awaits you.

During the guided tours, you can decipher secret codes, immerse yourself in a labyrinth and explore hidden areas of the museum equipped with a flashlight. Inspired by the monumental and dazzling works of El Anatsui, in our studio you will design an enormous collaborative artwork made of recycled materials. In our printing workshop, you will become familiar with old symbols and combine these with your own creations to create new pictorial codes. El Anatsui’s wooden sculptures are the inspiration for our creative work in the wood workshop. The digital video works in our capsule exhibitions inspire us to take own photos or make short film sequences. In the painting lab, you can immerse yourself in the world of colors and forms and become an artist yourself; and, in the reading tent, we let the images arise in our heads. The festive mood in the evening is kept going thanks to the Munich band "Zoo or so" and a disco party later on!

Tickets: 4 € per Person / available online and at the museum counter

Supported by the Waldemar Bonsels Stiftung and Eizbach Limonade.
The Disco takes place in cooperation with the Städtische Rudolf-Diesel-Realschule.
