Event overview

Public guided tours to the exhibition “Archive Gallery: Munich, Summer 1937”, as well as of the artistic interventions in and on Haus der Kunst and those dedicated to the institution’s history, take place once a month, on a Sunday, at 2.30 pm.

The Archive Gallery’s new presentation focuses on the summer of 1937 in Munich, when the newly created Haus der Deutschen Kunst was opened with the first “Great German Art Exhibition” and the defamatory show “Degenerate Art” was presented concurrently in Gallery Building on the nearby Hofgarten.

The guided tours last one hour and cost 2 €; registration is not required. Please pay the museum admission fee before the start of the tour at the ticket counter.
