Info
The curators Andrea Lissoni and Marina Pugliese give a guided tour through “Inside Other Spaces. Environments by Women Artists 1956-1976,” providing insights into the environments, immersive, three-dimensional art works, that in many cases can be perceived for the first time since their original presentation.*
The group exhibition “Inside Other Spaces” focuses on environments made in the period from the late 1950s to the late 1970s, highlighting women’s fundamental contributions to the field. Therefore, the tour provides information not only into the playful, performative and enveloping environments of women artists but also the stories and historical narratives surrounding them. Furthermore, since most of the works on display have been replicated for this occasion, the curators will also talk about the recreation process that included a comprehensive three-year-long research phase.
“Inside Other Spaces” aims to signpost a different historiography, allowing for multiple, decentralised narratives through the lens of women artists, inviting the visitors to become participants in the activation of those environments. The curators invite you to join them on this immersive experience.
The group size is limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
We recommend purchasing the guided tour ticket online in advance. This automatically entitles you to a time slot ticket for the exhibition “Inside Other Spaces. Environments by Women Artists 1956—1976”. This ticket is also valid for all other exhibitions on the same day without any time slot limitations.
Private tours can be booked at any time on your preferred date.
